WordPress Custom Login

Wordpress PluginsJune 24th, 2008

Just made use of the BM Custom Login plugin. If you’re looking to brand your Wordpress login page, for customers, your company, or for fun, then you’ll want to add this one to your list of default plugins.

And for security reasons, you should also implement the Login Lockdown Plugin.

Twitter Plugins for Wordpress

Wordpress PluginsJune 18th, 2008

As I’ve recently become sucked into the world of Twitter, I’ve found myself searching for the best Twitter plugin for Wordpress. Here is what I’ve found

Twitter Tools

By Alex King - This plugin creates an integration between your WordPress blog and your Twitter account. Pull your tweets into your blog and create new tweets on blog posts and from within WordPress.

  • Advanced options page.
  • Widgetized.
  • Post to twitter directly from your sidebar!
  • Blog entries can become Tweets.
  • Tweets can become blog entries.

Twitter For Wordpress

By Ricardo González - Displays yours latest tweets in your WordPress blog. Much simpler than Twitter Tools.

  • No options page.
  • Widgetized.

Twitter Widget Pro

By Aaron D. Campbell - A widget that properly handles twitter feeds, including @username and link parsing. It supports displaying profiles images, and even lets you control whether to display the time and date of a tweet or how log ago it happened. Requires PHP5.

I decided to go with Twitter Tools as it was the most advanced. I like being able to send out a quick tweet from my sidebar at any moment.

Wordpress PluginsJune 6th, 2008

Are you diggin’ the WYSIWYG Editor that comes with the comment form here? If so, now you can grab it as a Wordpress Plugin.

Please direct any support questions on the actual plugin page, and not this announcement post. Thanks.
